Abi is a seasoned HR leader and ontological coach with 20+ years of experience building people systems and leading EOS-aligned HR practices.

Abi has over 20 years of extensive experience as a generalist in the field of Human Resource Management.  She has a solid background in talent acquisition and development, total rewards, employee and labor relations and occupational health and safety.  She also has a verifiable track record in building HR structures from the ground up and implementing best practices in People Management for companies in various industries.  

Over the past 10 years, Abi served as Head of People , the pioneer of creative process outsourcing in the Philippines.  It was there where Abi first became part of a Leadership Team implementing EOS, and where she started her career as an Ontological coach.

Abi is the Practice Leader for People and People Experience at Satori, where she also serves as a Fractional People Leader for clients who need temporary support in the following areas:

Talent Acquisition & Development

  • Creating recruitment strategies, policies and procedures that align with operational needs; 
  • Working with internal and/or third-party recruitment teams to meet target turn-around times;
  • Supporting ramp ups, especially for Leadership Team and hard-to-fill seats;
  • Creating on-boarding programs; 
  • Adapting best practices in Talent Acquisition;
  • Creating a Management Trainee Program working with various universities to recruit suitable fresh graduates; and
  • Leading the development of a company training calendar to meet training needs based on job ladder and succession plan requirements.

Total Rewards (Compensation, Benefits and Employee Engagement)

  • Creating a compensation structure - conducting periodic salary surveys and total rewards research;
  • Setting up best practices for payroll and benefits administration;
  • Managing the process of selecting and engaging outsourced HR vendors; 
  • Creating an employee handbook as reference for all HR practices.

Employee & Labor Relations 

  • Guidance in complying with labor laws covering the full life cycle of employees  (from hiring to retiring);
  • Handling employee discipline cases at both the company level up to when cases are elevated to the National Labor Relations Commission (NLRC);
  • Creating a Code of Conduct and developing the related Employee Orientation Program; 
  • Conducting training programs to ensure that team leaders are equipped with the knowledge and skills in handling disciplinary cases; and
  • Ensuring compliance with legal requirements in terminating employees for just and authorized causes. 

Occupational Health and Safety   

  • Conducting SHE audits and making necessary recommendations based on relevant industry requirements;
  • Assistance for passing DOLE audits; and
  • Guidance in the development of programs for overall employee health and wellness.
